Overview of the Bachelor's Program in Networks Head of Computer Science Department - College of Computer Science and Information Systems
The program was launched in the academic year 2023-2024 and aims to provide students with a strong foundation in networking technologies and systems. The Computer Networks and Communications program focuses on four main areas.
First, a solid base in fundamental sciences such as mathematics, physics, and life sciences is established. These courses help develop essential analytical skills and acquire basic scientific principles. Additionally, this aspect is enriched with courses in the humanities.
Second, the program includes the study of computer science and engineering, covering the fundamentals of electronics, computer engineering, and programming.
Third, the program emphasizes the field of networks and communications, introducing students to both basic and advanced concepts of network design, simulation, and modeling. It also covers programming and management of cloud infrastructure systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and network and information security.
Finally, the program addresses business concepts and the role of information systems in organizations, providing a comprehensive perspective on how information technology is used in the marketplace.
